Course Objectives

This course has been designed for professionals seeking to develop a solid understanding of EPC (Evolved Packet Core) Networks and their supporting services.

The course explains the protocols and the signaling used for the 4G/5G Evolved Packet Core (5G EPC i.e. Non-Stand-Alone) infrastructure. It describes the interfaces in 4G/5G EPC (NSA) and the interworking with 3GPP 5G NR access. The specific module will explore various 4G/5G EPC (NSA) use case scenarios, with signaling traces that will be analyzed, such as Mobility, Session and Bearer management based on the 3GPP Release 15, as well as the Roaming Options (LBO & S8HR).
