Course Objectives

By the end of this course participants will acquire knowledge on the WCDMA RAN architecture and the protocols used in each of the interfaces between the network nodes. Quality of service implementation and the concept of the radio bearer are introduced. The Uu, Iu, Iub, Iur interfaces are explained. Mobility and the concepts of soft and hard handover are detailed.
