Course Objectives

By the end of this course participants will acquire knowledge of the protocols used in Mobile Core Network. Classical SS7 protocols like MTP, ISUP, SCCP, TCAP, MAP are examined in detail together with the protocols SCTP, M3UA (SIGTRAN) and H.248. An examination of how a call is established with the BICC/IPBCP protocols is provided. Also, it explains the basic parts of the SIP and provides an basic overview of the IP protocol suite and the CAMEL protocol.
